It has been working with numerous community health centres and health service providers in order to provide the people of Massachusetts with excellent health care. Today, it offers the members great flexibility to access health care at hundreds of locations around Massachusetts. This article gives you more information about the Neighborhood Health Plan.

The programs

The Community Benefits program caters to different needs of the people regarding health and social issues. Neighborhood Health Plan has partnered with the Commonwealth and works in tandem with local community centres and responsible citizens to run the program. Their main focus remains the people who cannot access quality health care due to different reasons and who become the most vulnerable to disorders. It assists the community programs in all ways possible and serves as a link between the service providers and the people who require it most. The program has various corporate partners as well to support it. They include American Heart Association, Cradles to Crayons, and the YWCA of Boston. Abri health Plan is just one of the many other plans it functions with.

Another popular program that the Neighborhood Heath Plan supports is the Domestic Violence Plan. The reason behind supporting the cause is its direct relation to people's health. In most cases of domestic violence, the victim eventually has health problems and that is why Neighborhood Heath Plan strives to prevent it to the maximum. It tries to make the society aware regarding the malpractice and is well supported by the Neighborhood Health Plan Domestic Violence Advisory Board.

Meeting the quality requirements

What makes the Neighborhood Health Plan so successful is its great desire to provide services to the highest quality. Health is something one cannot compromise with. Hence everyone needs care that is individual focused, quality driven, cultural but still economically feasible. Neighbourhood Health Plan has been one of the fore-runners in terms of quality in this sector. After receiving accreditation from National Committee for Quality Assurance, it achieved some of the highest ratings by the committee.
